David Williams lives in a beautiful part of rural Devon on the farm his family have owned for generations.  Having learnt to ride at the age of six, and competed in showjumping and dressage throughout his teenage years, David began to notice the short-comings of the riding surfaces he was seeing.

His experiences proved that conventional riding surfaces were becoming out-dated; they rode too deep and were high maintenance.  This inspired David to make his own range of surfaces using silica sand pre-mixed with various synthetic fibres and small rubber granules that give a root like structure, therefore holding the horse on top.

Since then, Williams and Williams have accrued numerous satisfied customers including top class trainers, event and dressage riders.
